At last, into the water!
Today was D-day for the Hunchback, the brand new canister and the new electronics were to be tested for the first time underwater. I have been waiting and working hard for this day to arrive, and here we are. I arrived to the local poolhouse round about 5 pm and started unloading the gear and preparing the Hunchback for its trial dive. I was not nervous, but something else was moving inside of my body... anticipation, I was like a kid at christmas. My friends were teaching a scuba class when I silently slid down into the warm water. All security checks before I entered the water were green. It felt good to be in the water again. My LEDs were green and PO2 display showed normal readings. The Hunchback moved like a predator in the water, everything felt very lean and good. My brand new "Made in Sweden" HID lamp was with me and looked good. Stefan Faringstam has made it and it is just perfect, it takes no space and gives me 6 hours of quality burn time. All the tests in the water went extremly well. After 30 minutes I was done testing the unit, it has created RB history today and I was very pleased. I will post more pictures during the week. Enjoy them the as I enjoy the Hunchback.
