Favorite quote of the year!
Hi again!

My favorite quote of the year goes to Dave Sutton for his wonderful direct way of explaining what this homebuilding RB stuff really comes down to:

"Just grab any small orifice, hook it up to a first stage, adjust the intermediate pressure to give you somewhere about 0.7 LPM and block off the first stage. Add 02 using a manual add valve as needed. Go diving. If I spent as much time thinking about this as some of you, I would never have built a thing.

Theory is only valid insofar as it reflect reality.

The reality is that this is butt-simple stuff to build."

Uppdates
Hi there!

I have been busy diving lately so I haven´t had time to post anything for a while. The tests are ongoing, I let the "poor" unit fall from my car on the ground to see what happend and it seemed to have survived the test. One fischer contact leaked bubbles afterwards so I had to tighten it, but that seems to be the only thing, besides scratches on the side. I will post more on the deeper dives that I will do later this year.

Another thing that happend was that my battery to my Shearwater computer died on my right before a dive! That sucked! What sucked even more was that I did´t have a spare one with me. That battery is hard to find here in Sweden. So lesson learnt, Allways keep a spare battery with you... I should have learnt that lesson years ago.... :=)

I am about to build my own counterlungs in neoprene. I want to see if I feel more comfortable with them than the ones I have had now for 4 years. I am not happy with the width of the current lungs. Yes, I am picky but I have been doing this now for 5 years so I have the right to demand the best of the best when I dive. I will keep you guys posted and I will post pictures when I am done building them.
