Work in progress

Dear friends of the Hunchback!

I have decided on the following:

I will keep the hunchback as a MCCR for while longer due to problems with space inside the canister top.

I will stop using the Fischer connectors and use regular blueglobe cable gland M16x1,5 due to problems with corrosion inside the Fischer connector and I hate the soldering that comes with Fischer connectors. The cable gland solution is easier soldering and more safe according to experts in the field.

I have added a 90 degree port on the left T-junction for the O2 bypass for the BMCL. It can also be used for diluents bypass if needed.

I will add a HUD later on this spring.

Keep reading the blog for updates on the project!

Change of plans!

Hi guys!

I have been thinking about version 8 and I have realized the follwing:

1. I will keep The Hunchback as an MCCR. I have noo need for an ECCR, sure it would have been fun and all, but hey! It works as an MCCR and I have less hassle with solenoid placement and hoses etc. It will just make it all much easier and leaner. Less is more!

2. I will go back to my original placement of bottles. O2 on the left side and diluent on the right side, to keep the hoses as short and neat as possible. The bottles gives good balance to the rig and makes diving easier in many ways. It allows for neat hose placement!

That´s it! Took a while to make up my mind! ;=) Back to the dive garage!

 Have a great weekend folks!

New ECCR package

My new rebreather electronics has arrived. I have tried Shearwater electronics for a while, but I have now decided to change electronic supplier.I have now changed to Hammerhead electronics. It looks very nice and I have followed Kevins progress for years now. Well, it was about time for me to give in to his electronic solution for rebreathers, Hammerhead. All I can say is that their sales support has been excellent! It sure looks nice! I will post pictures soon when the work begins to include it into the loop. I still have to find a good solution on how to integrate the solenoid in a safe and efficient way in the canister head.
