Third testdive

Dear all,

I did my third testdive today with the HB V8. All went very well. It passed all pre-dive checks and in water checks. Balance in the water was perfect, according to buddy. All hoses feel almost perfect, however, I will do some small changes to the routing of the hoses since it does not feel 100% perfect, yet.

This dive was made with a drysuit and it felt good. Balance was good and comfort was also good. 6kg lead was used with a Diverite alu backplate in a pool.

Fixing cables

Today I have spent fixing cable lenghts, getting more electronic stuff from ELFA and preparing one of the more dangerous jobs for my canister. It´s time to cut the M38x1 hole on the top for my ADV. More on this story will follow in the end of the week!

Todays CCR work in the little RB-shop in Sweden

I decided today to resolder my cable connections. I have never been fond of soldering even though my father taught this subject to students all over the world. I had to start easy be testing the iron and solder on a test wire before the real deal. It all went well and the result speaks for it self! Another happy day in the rebreather shop here in Sweden has gone by and the Hunchback just gets better and better for every day that goes by.

First testdive completed with version 8 and BMCL

I have now completed the first testdive. All went according to the plans. It felt very good actually, I was surprised over how easy it was to breathe, no resistance at all as far as I could tell. An ANSTI machine will determine that much better, but my impression was that it was easy to breathe. I still have some issues with cable lengths and how to route cables and hoses the "best" way so it all looks lean and mean! ;=) The BOV (which Martin from Tecme has sold me) worked flawlessly! It was a pure fun to use and in a crisis situation this will give me as a diver a few more minutes to resolve the situation with a clear head.
