Back to basics!

I have for a while been thinking of various different setups for my Hunchback project, but after thinking and testing several rebreathers I have come to the conclusion that it is time to get back to the basics. Keep everything simple, streamlined and servicable anywere at anytime. This means no solenoid (I am not against it, but it makes my design just more simple to handle), it means Valves up (for balance in water), it means Shearwater computer for O2 montoring and decompresion, it means slates and bottom timer as backup to computer, it means installing a HUD for O2 monitoring in bad viz or as a redundant O2 monitoring device. It also means no O2 spg. I check it before diving, if anything goes wrong during the dive that would deplete my O2 then it must be serious incident and I should bailout. On deeper dives I would have a spare O2 bottle.

This will continue to evolve this fall and winter. I will talk to some friends who have quite interesting setups nowdays, inregaqrds to their rebreather configuration. More to come! Stay tuned for more news down the road!
